At least that's what we like to call it. I'm sure Army-Navy fans would beg to differ and I couldn't really refute that, but the armed services are far too humble to make such proclamations so we're going with ours.
I will say that as much fun as it has been beating up the skunk-weasels the past few years, The Game will suffer if we aren't nearly equal. So I'm thinking we cream them this year and see how it goes after that.
Here now is a little thing to get the juices flowing (I'm up against deadline and this is the fastest thing I could put together. Ah, the inner working of blogapalooza).
Thanks for reading.

The Dolphin Horde
Rare dolphin superpod following a ferry in British Colombia. Pacific white sided dolphins,
not that it matters because all dolphins are cool. I have previously blogged about them.
The best part of the video, besides the amazing number of dolphins, is the announcement toward the end.
Thanks for reading.

How we talk to dogs
I don't know about you, but there are things I say to my dogs in private that I would never say in public. In public I'm all, "You're a fine specimen of a canine, Leo my good fellow," and in private it's, "Whaddagoodbubsiesdogmywiddlepuppypuppy."
In that light, enjoy!

Welcome to Fall
You may or may not be as happy as this guy,
but it's my favorite season: The weather is cooler, the Buckeyes are playing, it's perfect dog weather, and the trees are getting ready to put on a show. The enjoyment is short lived, lasting only until the winds shift and November smacks us in the face. But until then I'm going to make a pile of leaves and see if my dogs want to play. You're welcome to join me.

All it takes is for one person to have a brilliant idea
And for someone else to say, "Let's do it!"
It's brilliant. Brilliant.
I want a chubby tailed german dobenauzer. Except I happen to know that adding schnauzer to doberman will make it even barkier. Maybe a bunny tailed scottish shepterrier.

A Dog-tastic Welcome Home
I wish every single man and woman who comes home from overseas could have a welcome like this.

Everyone thinks he a comedian
What could have been a horrifyingly sad story about a dog stuck in a car engine while the car was driving from one Florida beach to another, turned into an opportunity for amateur comedians to show us their stuff, not the least of whom is Broward County Fire Rescue worker Mike Jachles.
Side note to reporter: dogs don't sweat.

Toy of the Day
Did you ever want a dog toy that talked to your dog, so you didn't have to? Babble Ball comes with pre-programmed phrases and wisecracks and when your dog goes near it, it turns itself on and talks to him. It's activated by vibration or even the dog breathing on it. They have different sizes, and some for cats, ferrets and birds.
Here's a video of a dog being "entertained' by one that makes bird sounds. .
I have to wonder if by the time the people get home, will this dog be a complete basket case? Maybe there are some dogs that shouldn't have one.

I probably shouldn't share this
I just did a one hour webinar about online marketing from a terrific guy named Adam Lapsevich from Digital Design Video, in nearby Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I learned some really cool stuff, like YouTube is the number 2 search engine in the world. And what WIIFT means. And that there are only two Adam Lapseviches in the whole world.
One thing I learned is that I may need to move my blog to another host (shh, don't tell Blogspot). Another thing is that by doing this blog I'm off to a good start, but I need to do more networking. So all of you get out there and link to me. Link, link, link. Actually at no point in the webinar did Adam instruct us to beg you to link us, I made that one up myself. I'll pass it along to Adam and see if he wants to add it.
Check out Adam on his website and see if maybe he can help you in your marketing.
And now that I've shared this with you I've given away my competitive advantage. Alas.

Musical cats, not to be confused with the musical 'Cats.'
The internet is chock full of videos of pets doing stuff. I think it's why the internet was invented. I feel it's my duty to pass these along when I find them, since what greater purpose can a blog have?
Here we have a cat playing a theremin. So you don't have to look up what a theremin is, it's an electronic instrument that made all the cool sounds in the Beach Boys' Good Vibrations. I read once the inventor of the theremin wanted it to gain acceptance equal to oboes and violins, and one day gain a spot in every concert orchestra, but alas, it's really just a cool toy.
At the close of the video, there is a link to another video which shows you how to build your own tiny theremin, in about a minute, which is the first clue that a theremin can never be the equal of a violin. It takes hours and hours just for the violin glue to set.
Anyway, here is my first embedded video. Wish me luck.
